Today I got very frustrated at someone for Intentionally acting foolishly which hindered me from very important
goals. I threw a fit in my heart and became very angry when I didn’t accomplish my goals blaming this person for being rude and blocking my way to where I needed to be. My whole plan for that timeframe became disheveled. Then I sat down at my desk and the
Father told me to pick up a pen and write and this is what it came to be… Life is not about what happens because most if the time we have no control over that. Life is, though, about how we react to the things that happen. The Bible charges us with the responsibility
to live like Christ. Philippians 1:27 reminds
us, "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ." We don’t have an option. We have to discipline ourselves to respond instead of react. Christ handled everything in the pure love reflected in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a "Love
is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always
protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." We have a choice to make, one side points to the flesh and one to the Spirit. Our job is to chose which we live for!
frustrated me. I came to an understanding that everything I think, feel, say, and do is a reflection of my Father and decided to choose The Spirit in me. Change of heart doesn’t happen over night and I know it will take time to get a hold of my reactions but
The Lord is faithful and is helping me learn! My challenge for you today is to think, pray, an respond like Christ would despite overwhelming emotions. Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18. It all comes
down to love… If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains,
but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3.
