Are you excited? Are you crazy?
Are you ready?
Are you nervous?
Are you scared?
Are you packed?
Where’s training camp?
When’s training camp?
What IS training camp?
Where’s your brain?
for God is not a God of confusion but of peace….
1 Corinthians 14:33
Sometimes the Lord sends you
through seasons that make you feel
totally confused
and frustrated
and quite estranged from your own life.
The last few months have left me
in such a whirlwind.
I’ve had things uncontrollably stripped from me.
Literally, things have been stolen from me
way before I was ready to let go of them.
My car was totaled due to someone seriously
backing into it at an intersection.
To top it all off,
there have really been nights
where I didn’t have space to call my own.
Life gets REAL quick.
But, through it all, God has been so good.
And, so quick to teach me.
Sometimes the Lord sends you
through seasons to teach you not only about yourself,
but also to give you compassion for other’s
whose lives tend to stay pretty chaotic.
Those things that were stolen from me..
I really didn’t need anyways and
the things God knew were important to me
were things He was so quick to replace.
Because, my God is in the business of making all things new!
To top it all off,
I have my own space
totally rent free until I leave.
We know that God makes all things work together
for the good of those who love Him
and are chosen to be a part of His plan.
Romans 8:28
So, now? An apology to things that I have let go to the wayside
and the people it has affected. I’m slowly getting a hold of those things.
But, I am so grateful for a gracious community that upholds me
to righteous & holy character
because it counts in hard times like these. And, hard times like these
cause you to reevaluate who you are & God’s plan for your life.
Without such a community, I would’ve been homeless
a few nights, starving, and feeling very lost.
But, GOD.
He shows up every time for His children.
And since we are his children, we are his heirs.
In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.
But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Romans 8:17
