It is hard to believe that we have already been in Guatemala for nearly a month and to be honest, I am not ready to leave. I didn’t realize how short a period of time one month really is… especially when you stay busy. At the same time… the bonds that I have made while I have been here already have the strength of years of being together. I guess it is because we are together in Christ.
This country and these families will always have a special place in my heart, being my very first mission experience, and being such an amazing place and people. I will always remember this month fondly as the month my team broke down our personal barriers, that we dug our way out of our trenches, that we laid that foundation for the rest of the year, flexed our biceps and dug deeper… spiritually… mentally and physically.
We never knew how much we could learn from digging a trench… about ourselves… and about each other.
This month has been priceless.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
