Debrief. What a wonderful time debrief was 🙂 It was great to see the squad and catch up with everyone and just hang out for a few days to recharge. One of the nights Becca and I sat on the side of the street and worship with her guitar for about 3 hours. It was so awesome to just worship the Lord together and praise His name. Toward the latter end of our worship time, this guy on a bicycle rode up and approached us. He was saying he loved the music, and that he could play guitar as well and asked if he could play us a few songs. After some debating amongst ourselves Becca had him get off his bike and handed him the guitar. He began to play and sing… he def does not have the most beautiful voice in the world…but after the second song I recognized some of the words, and I was almost certain it was a worship song, so I was about to ask him if he was a christian, but Becca read my mind and beat me to the punch, so she asked, and he lit up like a kid on christmas morning. He began to tell us about his relationship with Christ and how God has changed him, his excitement was so encouraging. He shared his testimony with us and then played for a good half hour, and suddenly his once, harsh to the ears, voice became so beautiful, because you could see his heart singing to the Lord. Becca, Cara, and I just sat and worshiped with him, and just soaked in how great God is, and how no matter what it sounded like, it was the most beautiful sound to our Father in heaven. It was the highlight of debrief for me. To see Jesus in a random guy on a bike that just wants to worship the Lord, but doesn’t have a guitar to do so.
