Welcome to my Blog!
Since you’re here, I’m assuming you have some familiarity with this crazy faith filled adventure called the World Race but may not know much about me. Without further ado, here is a short list with some facts about me.
1. My name is Amber Gonska, age 25, youngest middle child out of 4.
2. I am from the heart of the Midwest from a small town in Wisconsin.
3. I am extremely close to my family and I can never thank God enough for blessing me with such a close one. They are my best friends and biggest supporters.
4. I love crafting, attempting DIY projects from Pinterest(which do not always turn out: aka ombre hair), and basically anything that lets me be creative.
5. I would rather read a book than watch tv. I aim to be a lifelong learner.
6. Being outdoors and going hiking, swimming, paddle boarding or even just reading in the grass are some of my favorite things to do in Wisconsin’s oh so short summer.
7. According to the Myer-Briggs personality test I am an ISFJ, “The Nurturer.” Some of it was startlingly accurate!
8. I love people and am fascinated by the human heart and behavior so I majored in Psychology and minored in Economics in college. MY original plan was to go to grad school for counseling but now I’m following God’s plan which is always better than my own! So we’ll see on that one!
9. I am a typical girlie girl who enjoys makeup, spa days, getting dressed up, etc. but also has a thirst for adventure and abandon. I may be backpacking for the next 11 months, but you can bet on me bringing my lipstick. 🙂
10. Most importantly, I want my life story to be about who God is and what He can do in a human heart. If He can take a girl plagued with fear, unforgiveness, bitterness, doubts, anxiety, failure and start turning ashes into beauty, that is Who I want to pour my life out for and put my hope in. He is changing my desires and as I invite Him in, giving me His desires and heart. Passion is being birthed for the lost, hungry, searching, downtrodden, and so I go.
