Hello all! !

I wanted to reach out and ask if some of you all would help me, help our dear friends!

Our hosts for the past month only need $200 to finish off the floors and the walls of their home.

If every single one of my subscribers donated to the cause that would be less  than $2 a person!

I am asking for help because this is such an achievable goal. Something that is so small to us, could immensely bless this family, keeping them healthy and safe. And I am confident my team can give them above and beyond what they need.

I cannot imagine a better way to bless them than knowing I am leaving their family in a safe home.

Please read more of their story if you are interested in helping ! !

Pastor Innocence and Pastor Venyissia, also known to my team and I as “Mom Africa”, and “Dad Africa”, have been two of the most incredible hosts this past month while living in Rwanda. They have been married for 15 years and faithfully serve the Lord. Together they have 11 churches in Rwanda as well as 2 schools for small preschool aged children.

The schools provide education for the children in poor village areas whose parents are struggling to provide basic needs and therefore are unable to pay government school fees. Many of the children only receive one meal a day and that is the small cup of porridge that is handed out at school.

Pastor Innocence and Pastor Venyissia have 3 boys of their own and they sacrifice every single penny for the sake of the church. Whether it is starting a church in a more remote village that doesn’t have access to surrounding churches, or paying the cost out of their own pockets for many of the children at the school, they trust the Lord every day to provide their basic necessities.

My team is the 14th World Race team their family has hosted in the past 10 years and I feel so blessed to have been placed with their ministry. Innocence and Venyissia treat us like their own daughters and they will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.

Since being married the two of them have dreamed of owning their own house and they have trusted that the Lord will bless them for their faithfulness. It is very hard to take out a loan in Rwanda and if you cannot front the money for the land and the construction of a new house you are stuck with renting. Almost every family I have met in Rwanda rents their home and risks being asked to leave as long as the legal 15-day notice is given.

Innocence owns the land of one of his church properties and they have started to build the house of their dreams on this property but it is a slow progress as they can only build as the money comes. In between paying rent for church properties, their own place to stay, and school fees for many of the local children, as well as for their own boys there is not often extra money to put toward the construction, but they are remaining faithful.

Right before my team arrived in Rwanda they were given the 15-day notice from their landlord that they had to leave the house they are currently renting because he wanted to move back in.

During our time here much progress has been made on their building project and a roof was just installed 2 days ago! It has been such a joy to watch God provide for this family. Because the roof is now on the new house they have decided it is best financially for them to go ahead and move in, instead of taking on another rental.

When my team first arrived they asked us to pray that as we leave their ministry site that we would be leaving them in their brand new house that they own. Mom Africa told us it didn’t even matter if it was just one room, or half finished, it would be a miracle and she would praise God.

They didn’t want electricity, or plumbing, or even doors, just one room. Just a place to proudly say they owned, and the stress of renting finally gone.

So here is where I am asking for help! When we leave this family, while they are overjoyed at finally being homeowners, I have a hard time saying goodbye as they move into a half finished home with missing walls, a dirt floor, no plumbing, electricity, or even a place to cook.

We caught wind that it will only cost $200 to finish the floors and the walls. We would love to surprise them with a donation to their house fund and I am 100% confident that in the least we can gather the $200, if not more, to bless them and make this house SO much more livable.
