Hey everybody! Just wanted to send out a quick update to let you all know what I have been up to this month.

My team and I are stationed in Trujillo, Peru, and are partnering with Joel and Maria Savage and Savage Ministries. Joel is originally from the United States, but felt the Lord calling him to missions in Peru full time. Not only that, but he met his lovely wife Maria here, and they now work together for the advancement of the Kingdom.

This ministry offers basically free education to children from the area. Through the support of generous donors, these kids get to not only learn basic skills needed before going to primary school, but they also get to learn about the love of Jesus!! The Lord’s favor is so clearly upon this school because in the last few years, it has become one of the top schools in all of Trujillo. The students entering into primary schools around the city end up testing in the top 1%!!

So each morning, my teammates and I had the privilege of helping in one of 4 classrooms at the school. As I’ve learned over the past 9 months, it doesn’t take long for a room full of 3, 4, or 5 year olds to steal your heart. They are so spunky!

In the afternoons, we have been going out to one of the local soccer fields and trying to keep up with the 8-10 year old kids who are way better at soccer than us. I always laugh so hard as I pretend to be way better at soccer than I actually am.

Last week, a few boys walked by while we were playing so I invited them to play with us. They were probably around 14 or 15 and definitely upped the energy of the game. While we were playing, I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to share the gospel with them before they left. Thanks to my amazing teammate Kayla (who acted as my translator) I was able to tell them the story of God’s amazing love. I’m not sure that any of them accepted Christ at that time, but one of the boys recorded the whole gospel message!! That probably means that he’s showing his friends, and many people are now hearing about Jesus!!!! The Lord honestly always amazes me how He spreads His good news!! Pray that as people are listening to that video, the Holy Spirit is using it to speak and change people’s lives.

A few nights a week, we participate in various church services and prayer nights with the two churches associated with the ministry. We’ve all gotten the opportunity to preach or share a testimony this month which has been super cool.

I can’t believe that in just a few days I will be moving on to Ecuador!! This has been one of the fastest months on the Race so far.

Savage Ministries is still looking for people to commit to sponsoring the children in their school. At the moment, only about 1/3 of their kids have sponsorship. Would you be willing to support a child’s education for less that $1 a day? If you want to learn more click here or shoot me an email at [email protected]. You could change a child’s life forever with this gift!!

Thanks so much for all your support. Exactly two months and my feet will once again be on United States soil!! <3
