Spring Break was absolutely wonderful :). I got to go to the beach for a few days with my mom, and it was definitely the breather I needed. It was a great combination of getting stuff done (homework… bleh) and getting some much needed rest and fun! One of the great things about this past week was that I had plenty of time to read God’s word and think about my upcoming missions trip. I spent some time looking at other world racers’ posts and even got to see some pictures of people working with the kids in Swaziland! This got me really excited for the trip. In reading about Swaziland, I learned that HIV/AIDS is very prevalent in this country, leaving many children orphans without parents to provide for them. Of course, this is heartbreaking, but it also reminded me of God’s amazing ability to work in the hardest places and to provide joy in suffering. I can’t wait to travel to Swaziland and be used by God to show his love, light, and joy. Pray that God would work wonders in Swaziland: in the hearts of the mission teams serving and in the hearts of those we get to minister to. As the days go by, I realize that my mission trip is coming up fast! Everything is coming together thanks to God’s help. I got my passport which was pretty cool; it seemed to solidify that this journey is really happening! Thank you for taking time to read and please continue to pray. Until next time!
