God’s heart breaks over our violence, hatred, and corruption. He chose to provide a way to restore creation–fallen, unworthy, and dirty as it was and is. He took himself and hung in agony to redeem and to reunite. He broke down all barriers and made a way for everyone. My Savior: he looks at his creation and his heart aches for his creatures who are brutally broken. He is love. He doesn’t just show love; he became love by giving everything for those who were nothing. He extended himself to repair all our damage and to reach “the least of these.” The betrayers, liars, thieves, murderers, haters, unbelievers… he died for them, for me, giving everything so we could live even after we had created our own destruction. A love to conquer all doubts; a love to touch all; a love to wash others’ feet, to eat with the sinners, to provide and to heal. My Savior is love. He is a force unlike anything else. He is a gentle king full of wonder and power–an all powerful God who sacrificed beyond comprehension to mend our mistakes and to cover us with the blood of his worthy son. Hallelujah to my God, creator, savior, father, and best friend.
