Hey everyone! I wanted to share a little bit about myself and my passion for Jesus. Let’s start with some basics in case you don’t know me very well. My name is Amanda and I am nineteen years old. I am the fourth of five children and love being part of a big family. I grew up in Alabama and still live here today. Some things I enjoy include reading, writing, playing instruments, singing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. I am a sophomore at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and I am planning on being a high school English teacher. I would also love to travel overseas to teach English in other countries someday.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve known who Jesus was. However, it wasn’t until I was a teenager that Jesus became real to me. I really struggled with my faith for a couple years, but during that time I built a firm foundation for what I believed and why I believed it. Since then, God has been teaching me how to follow him with complete trust. For the past two years I have worked as a children’s ministry intern at my church; I love serving there and getting to work with kids. Right now I’m at a place in life where I’m not sure what comes next for me, but I’m trusting in Jesus and asking him to use me for his glory. I’m super excited to spend part of next summer on a missions trip sharing the love and truth of Jesus.
