Sawubona (hello ) from Swaziland!!!
Friday, after two planes, five buses and four days of travel we made it to Swaziland!!! Life here has been beautiful and unreal. We live on a dirt road in Nsoko, Swaziland with some goats and chickens, some mice (haha!), and who knows what else. We live in a simple community with 50 squad mates totally focused on pouring into the community around us. The past couple of days have been a time for us to reflect and process our new home and this life the Lord has brought us to.
Swaziland is currently in a huge drought, and they have not had substantial rain in over 10 years. I have never experienced a community so confident and expectant of the Lord’s provision. Through all the trials they face, I have not heard a single complaint. The community here in Swaziland is full of genuine joy, peace, and contentment, and it is so uplifting. Since our time in Swaziland, it has rained not one, but two times, and we are sending so many praises up to the Lord. He is good & He has, and will, continue to provide.
In the four short days of being here, I have already seen the Lord work in beautiful ways. These kids are so eager to experience the love of their Savior and are joyful in all circumstances. I am beyond stoked to see what the Lord has planned for this community and am confident he will continue to move in the hearts of everyone here.
The Lord is redefining peace and stillness to me. He is teaching me to rely on His guidance and His timing. He is teaching me to make the most out of the simplest moments. He is teaching me to love well and to live in community with others.
This journey has only just begun, and I am so thankful for the love and support of everyone back home. Y’alls prayers and encouragement mean the world to me and I can’t express how grateful I am. Truly, so thankful for this place, these people and this life the lord has placed in front of me.
