A few nights ago, I was reminded of one of the many nights at training camp. The night sky was flashing orange and gold, the lightning outlined majestic shapes in the clouded over heavens.
It was a night like this, in the humid Georgia air that I saw a shooting star and God whispered to me, reminding me of how great he is and that he has chosen me to bring hope to the homeless, light to the darkness, joy to the borkenhearted and love to the lost.
He told me that coming on this trip was no accident, and that, while he is mighty and powerful, he also loves me and is intimate with my innermost desires. He told me that he didn't have to use me for this trip, but that he is allowing me the honor and priviledge of being used as a vessel for his glory in these countries.
Just like lightning, I bring bursts of ligth to the cloudy darness around me. And, as I move through each country, each ministry, each place, that I will leave in my wake something that won't be forgotten easily. He told me that I will, in my months abroad, leave a lasting impression in that I will bring hange to each and every place that I am, regardless of how short or long I will be there.
Another thing the God told me was that His plan is reminiscent of a storm. Sometimes God's plan is clouded over, sometimes it is illuminated and sometimes it breaks free when shadowed in darkness. Sometimes it's gentle and refreshing and sometimes God's plan is revealed in all it's magnificent power.
Revelations::
The other day in Church I was attentive to God's voice and in that He revealed a great truth to me.
As World Racers,
We are accepting and stepping into our God-given identities.
We are embracing the strength of Jesus and allowing Him to empower us.
We have the power to rescue people from the grips of Satan.
We have the authority to do so as we have adopted the blood of Jesus.
We have the power to heal
We have the power to baptise
To raise people from the dead
To preach
To Rescue people from the depths of hell
To cast out demons
To love without boundaries
To call people into their identities
To guide and direct people
To pray and have our prayers heard & answered
Today God also told me that we have the power::
To break addictions in people
To not speak and things to happen
Move mountains
Bring hope
Love people even when it's hard
Bring people the gospel message
Ask, seek, and knock
To understand God's power
To read his word and believe
To take peoples idols and smash them
God also gave me a vision::
He showed me shelves and shelves full of idols in the form of statues
I was picking taking them off the shelfs and slamming them to the ground effectively and efficiently smashing them and crushing them, removing them from sight and rendering them useless.
I don't know exactly what it means, but I'm going to process through it and ask him to speak to me more completely, to open up my spirit to understand.
My God is a God of strength. He is a mighty warrior who has great and mighty plans for me on this team and in each country. Please pray that He would continue to reveal himself and work in my life.
