I cannot fully describe the emotions I’m feeling at the moment. Launch is HERE and THE WORLD RACE IS HAPPENING!!!!! This is what the last several months have prepared me for and it’s finally here!!!
These past few days have been far from easy and super emotional. Not only did I soak up every last drop of family interaction and say goodbye to friends and family (including beloved pets), but I also needed to pack and prepare myself for this 11 month journey.
How in the world do I pack for that?!?! I still can’t answer that question, but I was able to cram a butt ton of stuff into my bags (pictures below for proof) after packing and repacking about 10 times.
I realize that I have indeed over packed and will most likely need to reorganize and sacrifice more (I’ve already ditched my huge first aid kit), but right now I am content. I sit here in a hotel room in Atlanta and although I am busy with more training and sessions, I feel peace. Yes I’m still a little overwhelmed with anxieties like “my pack is too heavy” and “did I bring everything I need”, but the Lord has provided all that I need. I just need to remind myself of that (hourly, no shame). He has prepared my life for this moment and brought me here through the help of each one of you who have joined my support team. So, thank you!
I’ve made it guys and this is REAL!!! I cannot wait to share some absolutely incredible stories of what the Lord is doing with you all!
