Dear Amanda’s Supporters,
First off, this girl is baller. Second off, she is a baller for Christ. As Amanda’s teammate I have watched her fearlessly share the love of God with people from all kinds of backgrounds with all kinds of beliefs. From the moment our team was assembled at training camp to this day on the field, Amanda has been a fierce example to our team (and squad) of what it means to boldly share the gospel through her everyday living. Through striking up conversations with our taxi drivers, telling people we meet on the street what we are doing in their country, obeying what she hears from the Lord, and being all around full of love and compassion for others, Amanda is a living example of John 13:34-35. She shares the love that she is overflowing with from the Lord to those around her. Her joy is contagious and her desire to serve is evident in how she takes care of the people around her.
On our journey to share the gospel around the world I have watched God use Amanda to heal the sick, to humbly serve behind the scenes, to care for the orphans, and to proclaim the good works of God. Every month on this race Amanda has been recruited to supply medical support for our hosts, our community, as well as the community we are serving in. She does so with a huge smile on her face every time and never complains about it. In Haiti, Amanda spent day after day working hard to organize a dusty storage room full of medical supplies that will (and already has) helped aid many lives in Haiti. In South Africa and now in Botswana I have been witnessing Amanda take deep interests into the lives of children that we know come from tough backgrounds. Her heart is to see them grow and experience the love and hope of God, which is absolutely incredible to witness. Every step of the way Amanda shares what God is doing to anyone who will listen. She has a heart of gold and one of the warmest hugs you will ever experience. She truly radiates the beauty of God in how she loves people. Thank you for supporting her, whether through financial giving or just emotional and spiritual encouragement. I am so grateful for everything she brings to the Gospel Girls team, and I am so excited to continue to witness first-hand the ways God will continue to move through her.
Please continue to pray for her journey and spiritual growth (and if she isn’t already fully funded by the time she posts this blog please donate to her race!). This journey we are on is not easy despite how easy Amanda can make it look. Thank you for giving her the love and support needed to chase after God wholeheartedly.
Sincerely,
Abby from the Gospel Girls
