I wanted to do this in some creative way, because that’s what people do. People buy maps or flags and blast social media with their life updates but I couldn’t think of something witty or original so I’ll just tell you.
I’m moving to Austin Texas!
What I should say is moving back to Austin Texas.
In 2008 I drove 500 miles to attend a school I had never been to. I studied the bible and learned how to love students and how to run fun programs at church. I started serving at Austin Christian Fellowship and could not get enough. I was an intern, a leader on trips, I led a small group and loved every minute of it.
Since I left Austin in 2012 Jesus has led me on a constant adventure around our country and the world. There has always been a little question, a hidden desire to be in Austin, at ACF. This would be not so hidden when I would pass through town and ask Ian, the director of student ministries, when he was going to hire me or when I constantly asked God if I would ever be there.
In May 2014 I was in Thailand with my team and I shared about ACF, what they did,who they were, and my desire to be there. I said I was laying down that desire and asking God to take it until it could be a reality. Not thinking anything of it I shared this picture of an old army style truck, with an Austin license plate.
In May 2015, one year to the day I posted the picture of that old truck with an Austin license plate, I accepted a position on staff with Austin Christian Fellowship.
How cool is God? He has been preparing me and readying my heart for this for a long time.
Next week I will move to Austin to love and lead students at ACF.
This is a dramatic change from the plans I had to go to G42 and to Alumni squad lead but it is also a dream much older than those two. It’s a dream God put in my heart years ago and one he said yes to right now.
So with complete freedom and peace I am setting aside those plans for the foreseeable future and giving everything I have to furthering the gospel in Austin.

I am beyond excited to join the team already doing amazing things for the kingdom and I am so full of gratitude to all my supporters through the past seasons. I can never fully express how much you mean to me.
