I want to start out by saying that all the rumors about Thailand are absolutely true: this country is amazing. I’m already falling madly in love with this place.
My team and I have the opportunity to live above a coffee shop called WonGen this month! Wongen is connected to Lighthouse In Action, an organization that has several awesome ministries here in Thailand. You can check them out at lighthouseinaction.org. The coffee shop is right across the street from Chiang Mai University, where we eat lunch with some of the students every day. So, pretty much, our ministry is awesome. We get to drink coffee and hang out with a bunch of college kids! We also are tutoring students and teaching them English. Ministry this month is so much fun! I’ve loved meeting students and forming relationships with them. Each week, we get to host game nights and open mic nights in order to have some fun with the students. Not only is ministry going well, but we have our team mate, Shawna, back with us now! Redemption Valley is complete!
Just being in Thailand has been such a blessing. The first night we were here, we got to celebrate the New Year thai style. All of us girls sent up a lantern, something I’ve been wanting to do forever.

My team also got the opportunity to ride elephants and pet baby elephants! Another thing that I got to cross off my bucket list.

From trying new (wonderful) food, to meeting new people, to going on new adventures, Thailand has been amazing. The Lord has been using this place and ministry to show me His plans for me after the race, too! I’m so excited to continue to build relationships with the University students and see what else the Lord has planned for us here. Please keep us in your prayers as we are living and working here this month!
