I was reading about the armor of God recently and the shield of faith came up. I have never thought of faith being a shield before. I always think of it as an offensive weapon like being something ” that moves mountains” or leads someone to act.
The shield of faith in Ephesians though is a “faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” It blocks out that which is not of God and provides protection for those walking in faith and trusting in Him!
It is an interesting lesson to be learning this month though since out route has changed. We are not going to Egypt in October and are instead doing an ATL month. This is a month where we are to “ask the Lord” where we should go and what He would have for us. It is a month we will surely be challenged to trust God in new ways! I know that as we pray and seek His direction for our next month in Eastern Europe we will honor Him and know that His armor will protect us each step the way!
Also just to let you know… we are back safely from Maldova and are currently in Brasov for “the Awakening conference.” Please pray that God’s hand would be on us as we spend time in worship and fellowship with the other squads this coming week!
