We were asked to write a
blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m
expecting…

    • I
      expect eternity to be impacted!
    • I
expect to experience a wide array of new sights, smells, and tastes!!!!
    • I
expect to long for a hot shower at times.
    • I
expect to be stretched beyond belief and led to pray more. The unknown
always brings up fear in my life. This trip and all that it entails is a plethora of un’s
      (unfamiliar, unusual, unlikely, unthinkable, unimaginable…and
      the list goes on)
    • I expect that this trip will allow me to rely on Him in new ways,
and trust that His plan is far better than mine.
    • I expect to miss family and friends back home.
    • I expect
to have a few anxious moments just before we leave.

(I expect to hold on tight for a crazy adventure!)

    • I pray that this passage will
become a reality in my life!
Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:5-7
    • I expect to need A LOT of people praying for me; for
safety, health, finances, and boldness in my faith.
    • I expect to get to know many amazing
people both on my team and those in other countries.
    • I
expect to serve God and see Him move in our midst; working in and through our lives.
    • I expect to take lots of pictures!
    • I
also expect that the year to come will be life changing and unforgettable!!! (the list of un’s really could keep going!)
