Hey everyone! I have a few blogs in the works but knowing my schedule over the next couple of weeks, I would rather update you all on a few things.
First off, a huge thank you!!! to those that have joined with me in this journey both through monetary support and prayer. I have over half the funds in my support account and pledges carrying me over the 70% mark. That is huge! I have not even left yet. As for the prayers, keep them coming. They make such a difference and it means so much that so many are lifting up my squad, the countries we will be living in and me.

Now a sort of update on my life and the increasing involvement of world race-ness.
I was accepted in early September, sent out my support letters by Christmas and had a spectacular older sister make me some pretty cool prayer cards. [if you have not received one yet – I have some for you and they'll reach you relatively soon – barring changes].
I spent much of January and February working at the hospital and helping out/planning events for this lovely lady’s wedding in March.
I was able to start sending out the first string of thank you cards and prayer cards. And I have slowly continued to work on these as time as gone on… but still have several more to go.
The month of April brought a couple of events with youth group and my family, occupying a good chunk of time outside of my work hours.
My fantastic friends also came together and surprised me with a cookout to show their love and support for me. It was a great day and I was so surprised! and Overwhelmed.
And I entered into May with an epic road trip to St. Louis for a wonderful friend’s wedding. Evan married Annee and being as they are both former world racers – I got to experience a crazy Dub squad dance party. My friends and I camped after the wedding event and then drove back through Nashville for some of our group to take finals the next morning.
Yesterday – May 10th – God switched some things up on me – but there is a separate blog for that. So make sure you read it!
In other news, I leave for training camp next Saturday. It will be the first time I meet my squad and from others I’ve heard it’s a doozy. I’m excited and nervous for it. I have pretty much all of my gear and I’m simply looking for a few small things before I leave. If you’re interested in helping me out with some of the supplies, let me know.
I move out of my apartment the week after I get back from camp, which ends May 25th. I will work for only three more nights after this, which is ridiculously weird to think about. I will become a nomad for the next month or so moving among friends and family with the tentative launch date for the Race in early July. My goal is to update you all more frequently, finish up the original thank you’s and send out prayer cards during this time. I also hope to get out a newsletter update to everyone about the craziness of camp.
Thank you for the continued support! It means so much!
