1.       My feet have never been so dirty in my life. Even after showering. The mud dyes them. I will admit I have given up.

2.        The water is ice cold. I rarely get every part of my body in the water during the same shower. Sometimes we have no water, so cold is better than that.

3.       The fact that I feel like I’m in an Attack of the Flies movie. They are EVERYWHERE! On every dish our food touches and many times on the food itself. If flies are not on something, ants are. I have been bitten.

4.       Forgot to mention the roaches I have seen at night in the baby room. This makes for some restful seeping on the FLOOR. I do love rocking them to sleep.

5.       Ant bites. I woke up one morning and my eye was swollen. I hope it was only an ant that bit me or may have been something that was on my work gloves and got on my face. This took a couple days to return to normal. I blew an ant off my computer while typing this.

6.       Staying in a room with 12 other girls. The most common question is, “Are we out of toilet paper again?” The answer is yes.

7.       Many stomach issues. I myself had a bad day where everything made a quick exit. Many people have had it much worse and have been in the hospital again. I’ve pretty much been a vegetarian since because I believe mine was from bad meat.

8.       Hearing people vomiting from the upstairs girls bathroom. Their bathroom just so happens to be right above my open window. Lucky me. My whole room is pretty much used to this by now and just puts in their IPods.

9.       The mangos and pineapple are the best in the world. I eat both almost every day.

10.    Watching the children get bucket showers outside when the water is off. Just imagine naked children running around and trying to get shampoo on everyone’s head and then dumping ice cold water on their heads. It’s so funny. They are adorable.
