India. What your perception of this place might be is probably how you see it in the movies, the streets are crowded with people and children and shops every where you look and honestly its not all that wrong. But there is something about the specific town we are in that is different. The presence of God is here. We are in a small town that does not really fit the stereotype of India. Yes you walk into a busy market but then you see signs hanging up in the street that have a bible verse on it. No not everyone here believes in Jesus but that doesn’t mean you cant feel Him here.

We just started to get more into our ministry which seems to vary from construction (which we did yesterday and I am very sore lol) to praying and talking to people who are in the local hospital or just really trying to see what the people on the streets are like and how to connect with them. We ended up walking around the market today and you can tell that just walking around and saying hi to people with a smile on my face can make a difference.

We had almost 3 whole days of travel to get here and we all agree that it feels like forever ago that we havent been in America but it has only been a week. We have already had some very cool things happen that involve petting a cow, eating traditional food our hosts made us, walking to our dorm in a complete down pour and laughing the whole way back, putting back up our eating tent after it collapsed from the rain, and walking up to prayer mountain to talk to God. Being here is such an amazing place and we have barely dipped our toes into our work and I am ready to dive in!

I really cant wait to see what God shows me here and the people that I will still meet and I also cant wait to keep walking in the rain and enjoying every minute of it!

p.s everything here is spicy like you guessed.
