This month has been crazy. Not in a bad way but in the way that makes you realize how getting 8 hours of sleep can change your entire mood!

This month has been unreal and just so amazing and I wish everyone would have a chance to work this hard and be filled up so well my the people we have gotten a chance to become a family with. This month has changed my heart for camps. I will be honest I did not look forward to working in a camp after not having the best memories at a camp as a child. I wont go into detail about that camp but it made me honestly never want to go to another camp. But when we found out this month we would be working on a camp all month, I was not ready. But the Lord is cool and is always able to work His magic and renew what he wants so he has renewed my heart for camp.

We get to work in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa and it is a small camp site but still able to fit about 150 kids and it is just 5 minutes away from the beach. It is amazing. We are able to live close to the kids that we are doing ministry with and also close to the family that runs it. They are a family of 4 with 2 amazing little boys and also another women named Tarina who helps keep this place running! We have gotten to get close and love each other through all the craziness and it has been amazing to get poured into and see a friendship happen because we are here. I never thought we would get so close to a host in just a few short weeks but here we are loving them so much.

By the end of this month we will have been apart of 4 different camps and also a weekend of helping at a huge highschool event. We are busy and loving it! A normal day on camp starts at 6:30 and then its time for a devotional and then breakfast! Then the mornings all look different depending on the camps that we have and they usually involve fun games and things to challenge the campers. After lunch it goes to some more activities of all types and games to make them work as a team and then it starts to slow down and once dinner is done then it goes into a session. Our team even got the chance to run a week camp and do all the sessions which has been awesome. But after session then the night finally dies down and at 10 it is finally lights out, or it is suppose to be. Doesn’t always work that way! But you can finally get ready for bed and get ready to start the day over in the morning.

It is a busy few days with the camps here but it is so worth it. We get to see kids working together and hearing more about Jesus and how He loves them. I don’t know if they will ever understand how much this month has impacted my team and I. What this ministry is doing it helping children grow in Christ and have an opportunity to grow closer to others. I will be sad to leave this place in just a few days and it will forever have a special place in my heart, thanks UCSA for changing my heart for camp and making us feel like a part of the family!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed hearing about this month, but if you would be willing to help me reach my final deadline for fundraising. I am only $442 away which means $20 is a huge help! Thanks for all the support and all that you have already helped!

God bless, from Jeffreys Bay
