About me
My name is Amanda LaRue and I am 20 years old and I am born and raised in Grand Rapids Michigan! So here are some basic things about me.
I have a huge heart for travel from my previous missionary program and I know that the World Race will be an amazing adventure for me! I love to draw and I have a bad habit of reading multiple books at once. I was a cheerleader in high school and I hope that I look nothing like a stereotype of a cheerleader… but cheer had a huge impact on my life. And now for my job, I work at a daycare and yes I love it. God has blessed me with patience for kids and the crazy days that I have with my kiddos will always be some of my favorite memories! I also have a passion for animals (vegetarian life) and I am a huge lover of dogs, I will try and pet any dog I see and I am not ashamed of that.
But most importantly about me is God has showed me that he loves me no matter what I do or go through! And that he has given me the love for other people and to show the world about Him and His love!
Why the World Race
The main question that I get is why am I doing this? And its very simple. The Lord has wrecked my heart to the people of this earth and I mean that in the best way possible! Life happened and I was lost and confused on what His plans were for my life and in the past couple months he made me it very clear that I am do to the World Race as just a small way of showing my love and trust I have in Him!
You may also be asking what is the World Race and it is a Christian missionary program that is 11 months long and I will be going to 11 different countries for a month at a time! I will being going with a really awesome team and will be doing all different types of ministries in the countries I go to. I will be going to India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru!
