So
last night they announced our ministries for April, which we will begin in 4-5
days. I’m excited because I thought my team would be split up all over Thailand
but actually there are only a few splits.
Rebekah
Kraft will be in Phuket working with SHE ministries. Bekah will be with other
girls in H-Squad working with Ex-prostitutes and trying to get more girls to
leave the bars. She’s the only Manna girl there.
The
Manna guys will be in the Chang Mai area doing ministry with the rest of the
guys on the squad. Basically they’ll be doing lots of manual labor and other
assorted things in the more rural areas.
The
rest of us on Manna will be with parts of other teams working with Lighthouse
Ministries in Chang Mai. There are a lot of various ministries to be a part of
through Lighthouse, such as prostitution ministry, working in an HIV orphanage,
working in rural villages and evangelism.
Personally
I hope to be working in the villages because that is what has been tugging at
my heart since thinking about Thailand. Also I’m done with being in a city for
now…I like smaller towns more than I realized.
I’m
excited for Thailand and all the various opportunities before me. I’m also
excited to work with the amazing girls on my squad! It’ll be nice to have a
break from the guys and for them to have a break from us too!
