This morning we spent passing out “Operation Christmas Child” boxes (from Samaritan’s Purse) to the kids here and in another small village a few kilometers away. I grew up making Christmas boxes and often wondered what it was like for the kids to receive them. Let me tell you, it’s an incredible blessing to these children and these communities. The hard part was when there just wasn’t enough for every child, and so they would give a box to a family to share. I wish I could put into words all that was experienced with this, but I do want to say to those of you who give to this project every year, it’s totally worth it and thank you.
Today is the 23rd and I have yet to post this, but I wanted to add an update. Thanks to one of the tracts placed in a child’s box I was able to translate it into Spanish for them. Before I knew I was surrounded with 5-6 children all listening to the gospel being told to them. That was awesome, and some amazing seed was planted there. Pictures to be included in the future.
