So 2 days ago was my 24th birthday, it was pretty uneventful in the conventional sense.
However this year I decided to seek God’s gifts for me instead of people ones. There is a local ministry that specializes in prayer and prophecy. I had never gone and it happened to fall on the night of my birthday so I thought, what a great way to celebrate. It’s really cool you show up and don’t tell them anything about yourself and then they pray and give prophecies. You know God is speaking since they don’t know anything. I was told more than once that I really needed to give my all for an opportunity before me. I can only assume He was speaking about the Race. Some of the other cool things that were said was that my hands had an anointing to comfort people when I touch them, I love hugs and whatnot so it’s right up my alley. I think by far the one that got me the most excited was a picture of little pint-sized glasses going on forever and they were empty, and God said that I’m ready and it’s time to let the Spirit flow and fill them up. I am amazed to think that whatever that pouring is, will be powerful, a new depth and will forever change my life. That, my friend, is very exciting.
The prayer people record the prophecies on a tape, unfortunately I don’t have a tape player that doesn’t eat tapes, so I hope to go somewhere and listen to it again and see what all God has revealed to me.
Seeking God has always been the best gift we can get. I am so grateful for the gifts He gave me for my birthday!
