My
World Race Family!

I
got back from training camp Sunday night. While there is so much to
explain and share about what went on spiritually, physically and
emotionally during that time, I’m going to take this opportunity to
introduce some people to you.

First,
is my squad. We are the H Squad, because AIM is so original and just
assigns them letters alphabetically. This means we are the the 8th
and thus far the largest squad (54 of us) to be sent out on the World
Race.

This
first picture is all of us sitting in the orange Georgia dirt mid-way thru training camp with our
coaches Mike and Patti Paschall. We were sad to see them leave that
day but will be seeing them when we get to the DR.

And
this picture was taken at the end of training camp. Wahoo for H
squad, we also have our 2 wonderful squad leaders in this shot Ashley
Musick, and Jenny Brown.

On
Friday our squad was broken down into 8 ministry teams. These are the
people that will spend the 11 months together doing ministry.

Finally
the moment you all have been waiting for……my team……….

TEAM
MANNA!

(Starting
from left back row is: Nathan, Teri, Tim, Bekah; the front is: me,
Steph, and Sammie)

Bekah
blurted out that our name should be manna while we were all munching
on tortilla chips at Chili’s on our first team outing, and we
couldn’t think of anything else that fit more. Manna means spiritual
nourishment, and as many of you know, the Israelites were fed off of
it every morning while they were in the desert for 40 yrs. Manna will
not keep overnight, for yesterday’s amount isn’t enough to carry over
to today’s without spoiling. Likewise we want to pour ourselves out
everyday and be refilled with God’s love and grace every morning,
not expecting that yesterday’s was enough to get us through today.

Please
pray for us, because we have a long road ahead of us. And a lot of
awesome things God is going to use us to do!
