There are so many little stories of what God has done and how he has provided for me in clearing the path to this World Race.   This latest experience happened just today, its ‘s amazing to me how intimately acquainted God is with the details of our lives.

So I went to get a prescription for antibiotic drops in case I get an eye infection while I’m away.  I took the prescription to Walgreens and the lady (who seriously could not have been older than 23 years) at the counter says it’s going to be $148.00- sans insurance.  After I choked, I said, I’m sorry that’s not something that I can afford now, is a generic availble?  She said yes, quoted the price at $118.00.  Again my response was, thanks- but no thanks.  This lady was so patient, and determined to get me some eye drops; she then suggested I try a coupon- again still over $100.00.  No thanks, but thank you for checking, and out I walk to my car.

At this point, I’m disappointed (due to a very recent eye infection) but ok with the fact there will be no eye drops with me on the race, hey- I’ll live.

I’m literally getting into my car when this sweet lady comes running out of Walgreens toward me.  She says, I’ve got another idea, there’s a coupon and a discount card we can try!

I’m thinking, lady that is so kind but clearly it is not in the cards for me to carry eye drops out of the country.

Well, she had gone to all that trouble….so I followed her back in.

Back we go to the end of the store…she rang everything up and smiled proudly as she announced, “Your total came to $33.68!”

What the what?!!!?!

Seriously, from $148.00 to $33.68.!!!!  A little miracle, just for me.  This woman is so dedicated in her job, and I was so rewarded by her perseverance.

There are no words that I can say but to give thanks for these “little” provisions.

Thank you God for Alena. 🙂
