As I write this I am sitting at an outdoor café in sunny, yet slightly chilly weather drinking illy coffee on my day off. All around me I hear the chattering of Bulgarians enjoying their Sunday afternoon and some random party music from the bar inside.

When Bulgaria was first added to our route, I confess that the first and only thing I could think of about the country was it’s imaginary role in the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Sorry Bulgaria! But this has quickly become one of my favorite countries.

This month we are working with a church helping them to prepare their new church building which happens to be a 10th century underground storage facility located next door to a castle. No big deal. We are cleaning and painting this unique “underground church” during the week as well as visiting nursing homes, Gypsy villages and churches and hanging out with the youth from the church.

I absolutely love every minute of the day. I love hanging out with the youth because they already have an incredible community that we just get to join in on for the month. These teenagers have an incredible passion for the Lord that is so encouraging. I love knowing that this community will continue after we leave.

I feel so blessed this month to be working with this incredible ministry and getting to experience a really cool city and culture. This month has flown by and I cannot believe this is our last week here already!

Big news: I’M FULLY FUNDED!!! Thank you so much everyone who has given financially or who has been committed to pray for me throughout this journey. If you would like to continue to support my team, two of my teammates still need financial support. Any amount would be appreciated!
