You just never know what a day in ministry may look like! Powerwashing hundreds of bright yellow chairs, blazing a path in the bush, shoveling sand out of tires, taking down old fences, and my personal favorite-the clearing of the riverweed. Yesterday we spent the afternoon in the river that runs through Toranga Springs clearing heaps and heaps of riverweed so that kayakers can make their way easily downstream. It was quite the experience!!
I just love how the Lord works!  We have had the privilege to build some wonderful relationships with the summer staff here. The summer staff are from all over the world- New Zealand, Colombia, Australia, Scotland, England, South Africa, …etc. What an incredible thing it is to see us unified under the same Father. I believe that is one truth that will continue to be so very powerful to me. We are accepted into a FAMILY that knows no boundaries. I love that over the next eleven months I am blessed with the opportunity to not only meet more of these brothers and sisters, but introduce others into this family!!

On the topic of family, I am learning so much about the significance of community. Each morning my team wakes up and prays together. Every evening we meet for “family time” where we encourage and challenge one another and end the day in prayer. My team knows how to hold me accountable, how to encourage me, and how to challenge me toward greater intimacy with the Lord. I feel like this is what it’s all about!…Loving the Lord and loving each other in a way that draws us all the more closer to Him!!
