I’m loving Quito!  The Volcano is so close I could touch it, seriously, it’s gorgeous!

Launch (aka the first week of a squads World Race) was amazing.  We had some World Race staff here with us and we just spent those first days listening, learning and Worshipping.
The greatest part of launch however was finding out how truly rockin W squad is. Collectively and individually this year we are going to break down barriers and release the Kingdom of Heaven everywhere we go.  There WILL be miracles!  There WILL be healings are raisings!  God’s love WILL be showered! and hundreds if not thousands ARE going to come to know him through us! WE ARE HIS!
Ooooo, it makes me all giddy happy and excited when I think about it!
I also love how God is working through everyones hearts.  Today was our free day so the squad took multiple busses to the Equator.  We took pictures, ate, and then the squad spread out around the city.  Quito has a relatively bad reputation when it comes to thieves and pic pockets and W squad felt the full ramifications of that today.  A backpack was stolen, camera, wallet etc.  These moments are hard.  You feel violated and mourn the loss of the stuff.  But it is just stuff and every person, instead of freaking out or sobbing declared that, “it’s just stuff,” and I am so proud of all of them.
Tomorrow we leave for our ministry sites around the country.  My teams ministry changed because our contacts had to fly back to London.  So now we are working with a church in a city I do not know the name or exact location of.  What I do know is that we will be sleeping in the old church, worshipping in the new church and building the newest church.  I’m so excited!  It’s really going to be an incredible month!
Celebrating my birthday!
The volcano is incredible and towers over the city
Straddling two hemispheres at once on the Equator
More pics will be available soon on my flickr when I actually have fast Wifi…which might be never;)
