Team changes are an inevitable part of the world race. Right as month three transitioned into month four our amazing alumni squad leaders chose from amongst us new squad leaders to take their place, and through this jumble, and as a result of God’s hand we were arranged into new teams.
Although I loved team Battlecry I was super excited to see what God had next. On Monday morning the squad leaders gave each of us a card with the names of our new teammates on it. It was folded so that we couldn’t see the names unless we opened it. They asked each of us to pray and take our new teams, and our hearts to the Lord before we opened it. I hadn’t felt nervous or anxious yet, but the second that card was placed in my hand I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I went back up to my bunk bed and prayed and worshipped until I calmed down, and when I finally opened my card I knew it was perfect. Once again I am on an all women’s team and I’m also with 3 member’s of my last team and three new amazing ladies, and together we make Team Unchained Rhythm.
So I know you’re probably thinking where the heck did they come up with a name like that? Well, as we sat eating Mexican food during our “make a memory” time that first day we went around and shared what we’ve been learning and what we hope to get out of the rest of the year, and a common theme among all of us was FREEDOM. We are becoming free from our burdens, loosing our chains and desiring the same for others. That’s where the “Unchained” part of our name comes from. And going along with that we all agreed that we feel a great sense of freedom when we are moving, dancing, worshipping, lost in the rhythm of God’s love, so that’s where the “Rhythm” part comes from. When you put the two together you get UNCHAINED RHYTHM, a group of God fearing, God loving women who desire more for themselves and desire to help others find more as well.
So are you ready to meet these lovely ladies?
And together we make…. Team Unchained Rhythm!
Check out these girls and follow their blogs! God is doing awesome things in them and through them and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
