Biggest thing- first of all-I feel like I need to send out a
HUGE THANK YOU! To everyone! The support, love, care, prayers, words of
encouragement and so many people jumping on board with all things World Race
has been awesome and blows me away!! Thanks!!
Other Big/Fun News!
We have a launch date! We are to be
in Fort Lauderdale, Florida by 4AM on July 5th to head out!! Which
means, I’m heading out of Houston on the 4th of July. We’re heading
to the Dominican Republic, probably for several days, then we will be in Haiti
for the rest of July to hit the ground running and jump in serving!! Yahoo 🙂
More slightly older race news-
Training camp wrapped up well. I slept in a tent the whole time 🙂 and we finished up the
week with more team bonding and working on logistical and communal aspects of
the race..finances…expectations… dance parties…all that good stuff.
I am continually amazed and blessed
by the ways the Lord has been at work preparing me for this trip and pulling
things together. I can see how I have really unknowingly been getting ready for
this for the past couple years. The support and love from people has also been
amazing!! Thank you to you all for continuously and generously sending love my
way.
Support Raising Update
(financially)! I have been blessed by lots of support and donations! Yay!! God
has really been working on making this thing happen-including financially! I
have currently raised $10,650 which blows my mind and I am so grateful for!!
This means I still have about $3,650 left to raise to be fully funded. If you
would like to be a part of making this be fulfilled, you can still donate (and
will be able to throughout the first few months of the mission trip) on line by
clicking on the “support me financially� tab to the left. Every bit helps and
every bit is appreciated!!
Even
more random fun stuff. If anyone is interested, I’ll be doing a Chronological
Great Bible Adventure! Starting in the next week. This pretty much just is a
reading plan to read through the whole Bible in a year in a chronological
order. Think about it, and join in! Here is the link to the reading plan. It
