So, never before have I ever had as much coffee as I have
had in the past couple of years. Why you might ask? All the wonderful people of
the Wesley and at UT, I would answer. You see, it seems that the trend is to
say “hey, wanna hangout” then “sure, how about Starbucks or Thunderbirds” and
then a another cup of coffee is instantly in my future, and I am glad for this.
I have been blessed by so many coffee hangout times (and of course, those not
including coffee…sometimes bananas or swings or comfy couches) and conversations
with people in the past couple years, both being able to be poured into and
having the opportunity to pour into other people.

I have been blown away by the community I have been able to
be a part of. I knew when I transferred from Southwestern to UT that some big
changes were in my future but I wasn’t exactly sure what till the summer
between the transfer and arriving at UT. It became clear to me that having a
community like the Wesley is what I needed, and thankfully I got it. It has
been such a great place to grow, be challenged, enjoy the college experience,
share joys, and to love and be loved. From being a part of a discipleship group
where we grew together and had a place to come together and just lay everything
out to learning how to lead from the Lord’s plans, I have experienced
transformations. This community definitely has a huge piece of my heart.

With that being said, and my love for the Wesley community,
I am so excited to be a part of the World Race community. I’m looking
forward to meeting my squad mates and experiencing life together this next
year. With training camp only a month away, I’m getting antsy/eager/excited about meeting
everyone and getting to know people who will be on my team. I can’t believe how
fast time has flown and how soon the traveling part of the World Race will be
here! I am so grateful for my community both at the Wesley and at home that have
been supporting me, and am ready to meet my new community I’ll be going around
the world with..crazzyy!
