I want to springboard off my last blog and encourage people to consider supporting Kedesh.

As I said before this ministry is amazing.  I truly believe in what is going on here.  The boys are all orphans and they are either sent to Kedesh by the Mozambique government or they are discovered in bad circumstances and Kedesh takes them in.  They are clothed, fed, and taught about Jesus through daily devotions.  They have a family here with 30 brothers and John and Heather.  They grow up doing things that every boy should do… playing sports, learning to build, learning to grow their own food, learning to cook and clean, learning responsibility…. I could go on forever.

The point is that I want to do something to support the ministry here.  I have seen how amazing it is with my own eyes and have been moved to do something to help.

I asked Heather what could be done to help support Kedesh and she gave me a list of things that they are in need of but the mostly just money.

They are in need of regular monthly financial supporters.  They lost a lot of supporters during the economic recession and thus are in need of more money on a monthly basis.  Monthly donations would go towards everyday maintenance of Kedesh such as food, clothes, electricity, and other basic necessities.  All donations are tithed and the tithe goes towards a special widow's ministry that they have organized (every Monday about 20 widows from the community come to Kedesh and are given food and listen to a devotional).

Special monetary donations are needed to fund the following projects that they are planning on accomplishing when they get the money to do them:
Build a house for widows in the community to live in.
Build a new house for Heather to live in.  Her current house is ready to collapse any day now.
Finish off the kitchen building.  It is currently up and functioning but there is still a lot of work to be done in order to finish it.
Build a proper chicken coop.
Install an irrigation system for the farm.
Build small individual homes along the border of Kedesh for widows to live in.
And other projects as needs arise…
