Hello!  I'm Amanda Britton.  This page is here to tell you about myself.

I was born on October 14, 1987, to a lovely family from Davison, Michigan.  Davison is a small, country  town on the outskirts of Flint, Michigan.  Davison is the home of many famous people, including Michael Moore, the creator of Barny, and a hockey player who played on the "Miracle" team, oh yeah, and then there was me.  I grew up in Davison and went to high school there.  I even had my first job working in a pizza place in Davison.
When I was 17, I started going to college at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.  It was there that I decided to be an engineer.  I don't know how or why I decided to be an engineer, and really, school was so demanding that I don't think I even had time to question it until I was all done.  Now I realize that it was God who put the desire in my heart to be a civil engineer so that I could use my knowledge to serve Him someday.
I met my husband, Chris, working in an ice cream shop at a Bible and Missinoary Conference called Maranatha.  My parents have a summer cottage located on the resort's property so I have spent many summers there, playing in the waves on the Lake Michigan shore.  Chris and I started dating half-way through college and got married on the beach at Maranatha about a month after we graduated from college.

Once married, we moved to Saint Joseph, MI.  I currently work at the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant in Bridgman, MI as a Civil Engineer.  That will all change in September 2011 when Chris and I will depart on the World Race trip.  We are very excited to go on this journey.  God tells us to leave everything and follow Him, so through this, we are trying to be obediant to God and we are trusting that He will work out the rest of the details.

That summarizes this little ditty about myself.  Thanks for reading!
