Hang with me for a moment as I take you through this month.

Wake up.  Pack your things.  Walk to the road.  Argue with a bus driver.  Get on the bus.  Pay for extra seats.  Pull up to the next stop.  Get off the bus.  Catch a taxi to another bus station.  Get hit on by a homeless man.  Watch people almost get their bags stolen.  Get on another bus.  Ride the bus.  Your destination is approaching on the right.

Welcome to San Vicente, El Salvador.  This is the World Race.  Come expecting nothing, and you'll receive everything.

On to ministry.  In the last week, I have taught English, played games with children, visited two schools, and evangelized in four different villages.  We have sang songs, done skits, and preached the Good News.  We prayed in a hospital, and have seen lives radically changed for Jesus.  I've played soccer and basketball with the locals, and even had the amazing opportunity to play soccer with the former goalie of the El Salvador national futbol team!  It's been pretty insane.  The communication has been minimal, and we have been on a "Go Go Go" sort of schedule.  But it's all in good fun.

So, time for me to be a little vulnerable.  This entire month has been life changing in so many ways.  But, I have found it hard to concentrate on what I'm doing.  There are some things that have been distracting me from ministry and I have been somewhat distant.  My relationship with the Lord is almost at a stand still, and I find it hard to press in.  We sing the same songs over and over in worship, and even when I'm having my one on one time with God, I still find it difficult to connect.  What I'm trying to say, I guess, is that I need some prayer up in here.  And who better to ask, than those of you who are supporting my every move!  So here's what I'm asking…  Pray for peace in my heart and mind, and for more of an understanding of why I am here.  Pray for my head to screw on straight and for my relationship with Jesus to be strengthened every day.  Pray for rest at night, and for energy during the day.

I suppose by now you're wondering… "When Your Poop Plops?"  Well, when we were at training camp, we were told that the catchy blog titles are the ones that get read.  So, I came up with a catchy blog title in hopes that you would hear my cry.

Thanks for all of your support and prayers.  Here's to the next nine months!!
