"The Body of Christ; THAT'S US!! Part of the Body; THAT'S ME!!"
This is what my whole summer will be based on. You see, I am working at a summer Bible camp, and our theme this summer is "The Body of Christ". Not only will I be surrounded by the coolest, most inspirational people all summer, but God is our MAIN FOCUS! Of course, He should be our main focus all the time, right?
These past two weeks have been filled with laughter, tears, runny noses, sore throats, and cranky spells. There are days when I'm pure exhausted, and others when I have so much energy that I can't fall asleep. Camp is a place where you're allowed to be yourself. Red or yellow. Black or white. Blonde or Brunette. You can be you and no one cares! God is all around, you're surrounded by nature, and the relationships that you form are above and beyond.
Campers start to come next week, already! We had a week of training, a week of day camps and now we are on our last week of training. Everywhere I go there are people smiling, singin, playing guitar, or just having a great time. This place has become my home in less than 3 weeks and the people have become family in the same time. What I'm trying to say, I guess, is that you shoudn't be afraid to jump into something new. You never know what it will turn out to be like. Maybe you'll hate it, or maybe you'll love it. But you'll never know until you try it! So get out there and listen for God's voice to call you where He wants you! Because that's where you're supposed to be!
