My first deadline is quickly approaching, and every day brings a new struggle. But never fear! I have an idea. I was informed today, of a fundraiser that a friend of mine did while raising money for Fine Arts a few years ago. She said she took a carton of eggs and went door to door with them. She explained what she was raising money for and said for a donation, you could crack and egg over her head. This is both funny, and good for your hair.

So, what am I doing? I'm trying this fundraiser. I tested it out on my neighbors, and here was the reaction…

Me: "Hey, I live next door, and I'm raising money for a mission trip through Adventures in Missions called the World Race. It's 11 countries in 11 months, and I leave in January. I have this carton of eggs, and if you'd like to donate, you can crack one of them over my head…"
Neighbors: "Do I have to crack the egg over your head? Can I just give you money?"
Me: "It's completely up to you, but I think it would be fun to crack an egg over my head…"

Moral of the story, sure not everyone is going to want to crack the egg, but most people will respond. So many times I find myself coming home after work and trying to figure out what kind of event to put on to raise money for the Race, stressing out about these deadlines that have to be met. But now, I have a fundraiser that is fun for all, and really easy! All I have to do is get out there. And that alone is reassuring.

Another friend of mine informed me tonight that God told her to do a FREE photo shoot for me! This is a big deal, being that she normally charges people- I was so humbled when she pulled me aside and talked to me. She also has friends that she has told about the Race and they want to donate.

Don't be afraid of getting out there and telling people about this journey– In the end, God does provide!!
