It’s 12:30am and we are still walking the grounds of our camp and praying over every square inch of land. Why do this? Why so dramatic? Well, that’s a good question my friend. However, I’m worried that if I answer, I won’t paint an accurate enough picture for you to understand the intensity we were feeling… but I’ll try.

We were preparing for the men to arrive the next morning. The men at the home we’ve been working at for ministry. It is a home for men recovering from serious addictions and awful bondages that have allowed them to believe that they are without hope. We’ve been praying so aggressively because we spent the week learning who these men are and accepting a Spirit of immense love for them. We’ve enjoyed them listened to their stories, sought God on their behalf, and now we were expecting them in the morning to come over for a party—well more like a field day with lots of food.

Deep in my soul, I knew this day would be important I could feel it was a land mark and I was more than excited to see what God had in store.

The way He delivered though, blew me away. 65 men came to our camp with eager grins and had a day filled with memories. They were so happy; playing basketball, making smores for the first time, soaking everyone to the bone with water balloons, and experiencing the love of Christ as we loved on them with what we were given. Joy really filled that place in the most incredible way.

The craziest part, the part where Jesus gets radical.. is when floods of these very men came  up to receive Christ in their hearts and to receive prayer after all of the festivities. How beautiful, How amazing, breathtaking even was it to see these men. Men who were no strangers to jail, men who were hardened by life, men who rebuked vulnerability to its face, come up and ask for Christ with tears in their eyes.

So if this is the World Race, or the great commission, or what being a Christian actually is… I’m ALL IN…If only for this day.

Joy. Abundance. Faith.
