Did you know that Chile stretches two-thirds the length of South America? Because I didn’t! In the North is some of the driest deserts but the South has Patagonia climates which is crazy cool. This country is rich in culture, history and the arts and is a popular tourist destination in South America. About 85% of its people live in major cities while the rest dwell in rural areas.
Music and the arts are a huge part of the culture and I can’t wait to speak Spanish and learn so much about the people through music and other art forms. I am also so excited to travel through the beautiful parks in the north of Chile and fingers crossed I get to hang out with some llamas and flamingos! In the Patagonia region we might be lucky enough travel across the ice fields, yay!
While in Chile we will be helping plant churches and partnering with evangelists. I look forward to doing ministry with local churches and being the hands and feet of Jesus wherever is needed. This is the last Spanish speaking country before we move on to Asia so hopefully by then I’ll be fluent (probably not but pretty close hehe)
Thank you for partnering with me on this journey. I love you all!! xo Alyssa
