God has been doing some cool things in my heart the past few weeks serving at the refugee camps and loving on orphans at Testimony Feeding Center.

I wrote a song about it.

Listen to a trusty iPhone voice memo of me singing it HERE!! 🙂

WAKING UP:

I’m waking up

I feel the waters rising up

The stakes are high I know

I feel it in my soul

Waking up

Fires burn

Ashes from the messy turns

It’s okay to cry

And ask the question why

It’s part of life

Oh the feelings creeping in

Been hiding from my sin

For far too long

Oh been sleeping at the wheel

But you remind me how to feel

Deep and raw

I’m waking up

All around

Beauty screaming

Hear it sound

I’ve missed it all along

But it still sings it’s song

Oh wake me up

Back to life

Your breathing breath

Back in my lungs

It’s been a little while

Sings these lips have sung

Back to life

Oh the feelings creeping in

Been hiding from my sin

For far too long

Oh been sleeping at the wheel

But you remind me how to feel

Deep and raw

I’m waking up

Day by day we close our eyes

And turn our face away

But I refuse ignorance as bliss

Waiting on a wish

Break my heart, fill these lungs, use this song

Oh the feelings creeping in

Been hiding from my sin

For far too long

Oh been sleeping at the wheel

But you remind me how to feel

Deep and raw

I’m waking up
