HEY HEY, FRIENDS – I AM SO GLAD YOU’RE STOPPING BY.
If you made it here, you probably already have somewhat of an idea of what this is all about.
But maybe you don’t.
I am about to embark on the most gigantic adventure of my existence (and I’ve been on some gigantic adventures thus far – I like to think so anyway). This ones called:
“The World Race.”
Basically, I’ll be shoving my whole life into a backpack and saying “peace out, America” next October for 11 months.
I’ll be traveling to eleven countries during that time (1 country per month).
Chile
Bolivia
Paraguay/Argentina
Cambodia
Thailand
Serbia
Romania
Bulgaria
Ethiopia
Rwanda
Uganda
You are probably think “wow – that is SO COOL” and I’m thinking “yes, yes, YES it is….” and I didn’t even tell you the best part yet.
I believe that the Lord is calling me – in all of my inadequacy, imperfection, and brokenness to be a vessel of God’s Love to these countries. I get to radiate His Light in a dark world! I have the opportunity to share a story of HOPE and proclaim the name of JESUS to people who have never encountered His life-changing LOVE.
Now you’re probably thinking “WOWOW HOLY GUACAMOLE – THAT IS THE COOLEST” and I’m thinking “I KNOW RIIIIIIGHT – GOD IS THE RADDEST.”
And truly, He is.
It’s really crazy how I ended up here – the way everything unfolded and brought me to this point. And I have no doubt this is the “next thing.” While there is all this hype, I know that the next ten months of my life are going to be hard. Prepping mentally, physically, and spiritually before my launch in October is going to be challenging – but I know that the Lord will use this time to grow me.
As you probably noticed, the top of this blog indicates where I am at with fundraising – there will be more posts to come on this endeavor. But for now, if you would, please prayerfully consider partnering with me financially to take the gospel all around the world. This is a simple way that we can take something of no eternal value (money) and use it to advance something that has more eternal value than we could ever wrap our minds around (God’s Kingdom).
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19
There are other ways that you can be supporting me as well. The biggest of these is PRAYER. What a gift that we get to have an open-communication system with our Creator. Let’s use it, friends!! Please be praying for the preparation and safety of my teammates and I, as well as the hurting souls that we will encounter on the WR and in the time leading up to it. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if I can be praying for you about specifics or just in general, as well. I’d love to walk with you through your highs and lows and see what the Lord is revealing in your life too!
Lastly, I recognize that I am slightly all over the place when I write these things, but it will be fun! I promise. I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog so I can share with you some of the ways the Lord is working.
