Monday, the day we got to Nha Trang we went to the beach. It was pretty empty, only people there were tourists. It was easy to find an open spot away from people in the sand. The sun was hot, waves were calm, and the water felt perfect on our skin.
Sunday, we went to the beach and it was packed. All of the locals were there because it was somewhat of an overcast day. The sun was hiding behind the clouds, it was windy, and the waves were crashing on the shore.
Sometimes there are seasons where you have alone time, time to relax and drink up the sun. Other seasons consist of many people, no sun to drink up.
Both are beautiful and both G0d is present with you.
India was a season of rest for me. I had a lot of time to soak up His Word, read books, take in music, and just be filled up by the L0rd.
Vietnam is a crowded season for me. Our schedule is very busy and so broken up that when we do have free time it’s for an hour here, thirty minutes there, something like that. I feel drained by all of the conversations I am having with students because I am exhorting so much.
After a session of teaching the same group of students for two and a half hours I am just drained. I can’t seem escape the enormous waves that are crashing over me.
But, I know the L0rd is with me in this season and I am so in love with all of the students I meet through this month’s ministry. I just feel like I am drifting more towards the sea than the shore.
I don’t know what this means yet, what I will learn from all of this, but I am just going to keep trusting and keep swimming, I know His footprints are in the sand on the beach and He is with me all the time.
