Since I last wrote, we had our first debrief as a squad, we moved into a new country, and have entered our first, Ask the Lord month.

Currently I am in Lima, Peru but before arriving here (on a 22 hour bus ride) I spent a week in Cusco, Peru and although it is very touristy, I really enjoyed our time there.

One of our first days in Cusco, we were team Burrito, they decided to worship in the main square. Let me tell you, these girls have a gift of welcoming everyone around them into what they are doing. There were so many people that stoped to sing along, listen, or talk to them.

There were two guys that hung out with us all night long. They are from Argentina, and played music at restaurants but also in the square occasionally.  We ended up running into them so many times throughout our week in Cusco. It was fun seeing familiar faces.

Above, they are pictured playing with us on the first night.

Cusco was a time for me to connect with all four teams. it was a lot of fun, but also very difficult because it meant we were constantly around different people, in a slightly different place. But I was able to see different teams push into difficult things which was so cool! Some teams pushed into team unity and friendship, others in listening to God voice and talking to random strangers, or finding the balance between rest and ministry.

Squad leading has been so much fun but also challenging – in the best way possible.

I have already experienced so much growth and we have only been out for a month and a half! Can’t wait to see what happens in the next three and half months!
