Sometimes you get told to be ready for church by 8 am, so you are, but your ride doesn’t show up until 9:30am without a phone call. So you start off with an iffy attitude, then it proceeds to be the best day on the race. After church, they gave us chai then we went to a village that the church made after the earthquake wiped out their homes. We get there and don’t really know what we are suppose to be doing so I start playing with kids. I’m pretty sure they have never seen someone with blonde hair. One of the girls wanted to braid my hair and it started a train.

Since they are so little, I had to squat down the entire time they braided my hair. We have had to walk a lot of hills and stairs the past to months so I feel like my legs were prepared for this squatting life…
Not prepared enough, this is what it looks like when the burn in your legs is just too real!

After that, someone brought me a tiny little stool and we were good to go!
This is the finished product:

I didn’t realize how much I missed working with kids. I haven’t played with a kiddo all week and I missed it so much. Jesus answered my prayer for working with children and I had no idea it was coming, it was a total surprise to me!

Oh p.s. we also picked up a live chicken while we here at the village that continued the rest of the ride with us. Only abroad.
