Hi I’m Alyssa! Where to start… going on the World Race has been a dream of mine for seven years, and now it’s happening! Gahhh I’m so in love with the Lord and am absolutely excited to be on this incredible Kingdom journey! I’m a passionate lover of God who grew up in a small Lutheran church in Minnesota. I was filled with the Spirit in 2010, and I’ve never looked back!
I love anything to do with art, filmmaking, and running! As a kid, I was always creating things from paintings to clay figurines to jewelry. I discovered my love for film several years ago and dove head first into that passion. Until a few months ago I was working as a film producer at an awesome church, and now I’m creating short films for non-profits and ministries in preparation for making films on the Race! I love running – I did my first marathon last year in Philly and loved every second ha! Not many people say that, but I trained well and enjoyed the awesome physical challenge of pushing my body to the extreme.
Though I can usually be found with the “artsy” crowd, I was a pretty geeky kid growing up: avid Pokeman card collector, straight A student, trapper keeper carrier, and Nancy Drew book reader 😉 Journaling and curling up with a good book satisfies the introvert in me, but I also love spending time with people and finding the beautiful uniqueness & destiny in each heart!
I also have a huge heart for those who have never heard the gospel and am looking forward to seeing Papa God do the miraculous. My prayer is that He would use me in mighty ways to share His love and truth with the nations, and that He would clarify the incredible purpose I was born to fulfill.
