Our afternoon ministry for the whole 3 months of Ethiopia was simply playing with, teaching, and loving on all the Hope Ethiopia kids. I spent most afternoons coloring with all the kids in house 4 and saying goodbye to these little faces was so incredibly hard but I know God’s got them and I trust Him with their lives just like I trust Him with mine. But I want to ask you all to join me in praying for them daily, so meet the crazy kiddos of house four-

(Im sorry i don’t have a picture)

Zaritu- the oldest in a house full of kindergarteners, she takes such good care of them and always keeps peace between the little kids. She comes home from school and serves dinner to all her little brothers and sisters and does their dishes. But she also knows how to have fun, laugh, dance, yell, and love people really well.

Jitu- The sweetest and most sensitive little girl you will ever meet. She will whisper to you how beautiful you look and always sweeps up after every meal, in fact every afternoon of coloring and playing that we manage to destroy the house, Jitu never fails to put it all back in order. She loves coloring and the Lion King.

Tirune- My little buddy, loves anyone and everyone. He is hilarious and gives lots of hugs. He likes to teach me words in Oromifa and laughs when I can never pronounce it right. He always offers me a bite of his dinner, more like doesn’t give me a choice when He shoves a fistful of injera in my mouth, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

When I grow up I want to be: A pilot

Keeso- So so hyper and full of energy. But also so full of joy, I don’t think I have ever seen this boy without a smile on his face. Not the biggest fan or coloring but he loves to throw markers and asks everybody to flip him, spin him, help him walk on his hands and throw him. This boy can make a game out of anything, like walking around for hours with colored pencil boxes on his hands.

When I grow up I want to be: Travis(one of my squad mates)

Senna- Love this little nugget so much, she doesn’t speak much English but her little smile says everything it needs to. Funny, joyful , independent and always greets you with her huge laughter filled eyes. Before I met this little lady I didn’t know such a small human could have such a big sense of humor, but senna could make anyone laugh.
