So what is the World Race? It’s an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries, through Adventures in Missions based out of Gainesville, Georgia. They work with local churches and organizations in the communities we go to, in order to have lasting impact. My specific route I chose leaves this upcoming January. This route primarily focuses on the 10/40 window. The countries I’ll be going to are: Australia, Indonesia, India , Nepal, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Spain and Morocco.
The World Race is something I’ve thought about for years, but the timing was never right or I’d make up excuses why I couldn’t go. This isn‘t a decision I’ve made lightly in the least. I know I have a lot of hard work a head of me and that this journey will be rewarding but challenging.
God has been so clearly lining this all up for me and it’s time for me to step out in faith and walk through the promises he has spoken to me. I want be very clear that even though this is something I’ve thought about doing for years I never thought I’d actually commit to because it’s scary. It’s scary to to leave everything behind like the comforts of home. It’s scary to not have my family and best friends who are always in my corner. It’s scary to walk away from a job your hoped would become your entire career. It’s scary to give up control of your routines. It’s scary to say yes to God sometimes, but being obedient to God is so far more important than our comfort and our fear.
So this is what this is all about for me, it’s about saying yes and being obedient to call on my life to serve others. To be apart of something sooo much bigger than myself. To show people they are not alone and their are loved beyond measure.
If this is something you want to be apart of with me, honestly thank God because I can’t do any of this alone, and consider partnering with me in prayer and financial support.
