This life is unrepeatable. Each day is unrepeatable. God has invited me on an unrepeatable adventure that has already blown my mind and continues to blow my mind each and every unrepeatable day. Whether you are staying in a hut in an Indian village or in a warm house with a fireplace and comfy beds, God has an unrepeatable day planned for you today. Don’t take for granted any second of your life. The good and the bad days are gifts. Rejoice in the good, and praise Him in the bad. Because He is with you constantly. He goes before you, He is behind you, and He is right beside you.
One of my prayers as I began this season was: if God doesn’t come with me, I do not want to go. Exodus 33:12-16 “Moses said to the Lord ‘You have been telling me “Lead these people” but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.’ The Lord replied ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Then Moses said to Him, ‘If you Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the Earth?’”
This verse has been popping up randomly throughout Launch and this first week on the field. If He doesn’t lead me, I don’t want to go; if He isn’t here, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to live each day over and over again. I want Him to continue to blow my mind with how awesome He is. And I pray that I don’t get ahead of God, I pray that my eyes stay fixed on Him and what He has for me today and not worry about tomorrow. I want people to know that God is pleased with me because they can see God in my day to day life. I pray that this life continues to be an adventure, not just because I am following Him halfway around the world, but just because I am following Him.
